Who doesn't love a good story? What about a new short non-fiction story everyday just for you to read aloud with your kids? That is exactly what I have found with GenZ Online. I signed up my son, who is in Kindergarten for the K-2 option.With GenZ everyday we were emailed one non-fiction story to read together and discuss. This would be perfect to incorporate into our homeschool lessons. Truthfully, my son doesn't seem to enjoy many of the fictional stories that my older daughter did. He loves real life stories. That is why I think this program could be so cool.... it has been hard for me to keep him supplied with age appropriate non-fiction, and having an email waiting for me everyday for our read aloud time would be nice.
Besides the short story, they also have conversation starters, a "Did You Know" spot, and Word Whiz, which is where you pick the meaning of 2 vocabulary words that were introduced during the story. After picking your Word Whiz answers you unlock the puzzle of the day! I love how they have found a way to Keep Learning Fun, something I wholeheartedly believe in doing!
