Meet Our New Family Member

Just a Random Post to introduce our new family member.......  Shadow!!!

She's a lil rescued kitten! We brought her home on Sunday. Her fur is blackish/brown with white tips on the back ( a frosted look) and white fur blended with the black on her back paws. Can't wait to see what she ends up looking like. LOL

We lost all of our other 3 pets over the last 3 years. We were still mourning, and haven't been ready for a new pet until now. I didn't want to get a rebound puppy or kitty, and must admit I still get emotional over the loss of our other pets. Loved them like they were my own kiddos, and took each of their passings really hard. {Just a softy, I guess.}

Can't wait to see how having a kitten again changes our lives.... hopefully for the better! Shadow was abandoned by her mom, and was very ill. We have her on meds, and she is now doing just fine. With each day she is growing more feisty!!! 

My kiddos are in love with her, and I think we made a great decision to save this lil cutie. Not just for her, but for us as well. My kiddos are learning some responsibility = they are taking turns cleaning the litter and feeding. Not to mention they are spoiling her rotten.... I have to make them leave her alone so she can nap. They would both just watch her sleep if I didn't make them leave the room. 

My son built a lil house around her so she would feel "safer" while she napped! LOL =)

*We are a cat and dog family here just without a dog right now.... Oh, and a reptile family too, but you'll hear more about that this Saturday in my next Organic Gardening post. =)
