*I received the products below for reviewing purposes. I was not required to give a positive review. All opinions are my own. see disclosure.

Guess what?! It is almost time to head back to school, and this year I have quite a few books, products, fashion items and more to share as part of my Back To School Guide 2015 here on Coupons and Lesson Plans. Today I am kicking off the Back To School Guide by partnering with National Geographic and giving you the chance to win the Reading Rocks Mega prize pack which includes 11 books for your kiddos to dive into! As an added bonus I have also joined with LeahSay's Views, Planet Weidknecht, and some other amazing bloggers who have fun back to school giveaways which are linked below.

National Geographic Kids has new titles debuting this school year, that are sure to captivate your child's attention, and help them develop a love for reading. These books are filled with vivid pictures and each series is geared towards different age groups and reading levels. The best part.... all of the National Geographic Kids' readers are budget friendly, so you can grab a few and not break the bank.
Look & Learn Series (ages 2-5, $6.99 each) - Even when their backpacks are almost as big as they are, reading together is critical for developing a lifelong love of books. Our son is almost 16 months, and he already loves to sit on Mommy's lap to look at a book. The Look & Learn board book series is a new favorite! These board books were developed in association with child education experts and introduces concepts with context reinforcement so learning sticks. Each of these books are 6" x 6", and have 24 pages to enjoy. *This Fall features two new titles, Look and Learn:  Dig and Look and Learn: Ocean Creatures

Explore My World series (ages 3-7, $4.99 each) -  These engaging Explore My World picture books, on subjects kids care about, combine simple stories with unforgettable photography. Each 8" x 8" soft cover book has 32 pages, and invite little kids to take their first big steps toward understanding the world around them. The Explore My World series is just the thing to curl up with together and read aloud. In Explore My World: Baby Animals your kids will learn about a day in the life of a baby animal, from mama's care to the great world beyond.  Explore My World: Nighttime delves into the nighttime from the stars to hooting owls.

NG Readers series (ages 5-8, $3.99 each--  Each book in this best selling National Geographic Readers series is written in an easy-to-read format and falls into one of five reading levels which are labeled by level on the front cover. My older son is 7, and these are exactly what I was looking for this year. Non-fiction reads keep him interested, and National Geographic photography and kid-friendly diagrams draw him in. Developed by National Geographic in close consultation with literacy education experts, this series is one homeschooling families, teachers, librarians, parents, and grandparents know they can trust to nurture every child's love of reading. New this season is NG Readers: Pope Francis (Level 1), NG Readers: Coral Reefs (Level 2), NG Readers: Ugly Animals (Level 2), NG Readers: Rosa Parks (Level 2), and NG Readers: Flutter, Butterfly (Level 3).

Chapters series (ages 7-10, $5.99 each) -- This chapter book series picks up where the National Geographic Readers series leaves off, and are a great transition to chapter books for kids ready to more on to the next level in reading.  For sports fans and animal lovers, Chapters:  Hoops to Hippos, True Stories of a Basketball Star on Safari is a slam dunk. San Antonio Spurs' Boris Diaw takes young readers on safari as he explores his off-court passion: wildlife photography! Join Diaw as he escapes from stampeding wildebeests, comes face-to-face with lions, and discovers why you should never come between a hippo and its watery home. In Chapters: Hoot, Hoot Hooray and More True Stories of Amazing Animal Rescues kids meet some brave, amazing animals and the caring people who come to their rescue.

National Geographic Kids has developed an amazing Super Reader site to complement the Readers series.  There are prizes to reward children's reading effort, printable posters to help track their progress, activities, quizzes, games and ALOT more. What a great way to keep learning fun!
