Mrs.Renfro's Gourmet Salsas ~ Review

*Received the products below free in order to facilitate this review. I was not required to write a positive review. As always all opinions, good or bad are my own. see disclosure.

I grew up eating Salsa & chips as snacks, Mexican inspired dishes, and Grilled foods pretty much year round. These types of meals are some of my very favorites. Well that has carried over, and now my husband jokes with me that if it's not a Mexican dish I won't make it! Well of course that's not true, but I do have it on the menu a couple times every week for sure. That is what has made reviewing Mrs.Renfro's gourmet salsas, so much fun. I was able to eat my favorite meals while trying some tasty new products.

Mrs.Renfro's gourmet salsas & more, through Renfro Foods, is a family owned business that's been around since 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas. They offer a wide variety of salsas, sauces, peppers, and relishes. Their salsas are gluten-free and made from natural ingredients too! From the super HOT Ghost Pepper Salsa to Mild Salsa, and even a few fruit varieties including Peach, Mango, Pineapple and more, Mrs.Renfro's has a salsa to fit about anyone's tastes or mood. Their product line includes over 15 different Salsas, 6 choices in Relish, and 8 different sauces and pepper choices too.

Here's just a few of the Salsas and Sauces you will find from Mrs.Renfro's.

  • Green Salsa
  • Mild Salsa
  • Peach Salsa
  • Black Bean Salsa
  • Pomegranate Salsa
  • Garlic Salsa
  • Mango Habanero Salsa
  • Mild Chow Chow
  • Corn Relish
  • Nacho Sliced Jalapeno
  • Nacho Cheese Sauce
  • Barbecue Sauce & many more!

I was given the opportunity to try the Peach Salsa, Mild Salsa, Nacho Cheese Sauce and their Barbecue Sauce.

We tested the salsas on tortilla chips first. All of us thought they all were delicious, but the Mild Salsa tasted the best with chips. Then branched out to adding them to different dishes and meals. The Nacho Cheese Sauce tasted the best as an addition to my homemade chicken tacos, and we also enjoyed trying the Peach Salsa as a marinade for grilled chicken..... SO GOOD! You can find the Peach Salsa Grilled Chicken recipe and quite a few others like Mexican Fudge on Mrs.Renfro's website.

Mrs.Renfro's Barbecue sauce was a family favorite for dipping chicken tenders. It has a bold flavor that isn't too spicy, and it's not too thick either. I also tried this delicious sauce brushed on grilled and baked chicken, and it was a huge hit.

We really enjoyed trying new recipes, and adding Mrs.Renfro's products to our established family menu. I love the wide selection of salsas, peppers, and sauces they offer too. When I chose the products to taste, I had my kiddos and the fact that I am nursing in mind, and kept my choices on the milder side. I would have loved to give one of their hotter salsas, like the Mango Habanero Salsa, a try. Mrs. Renfro's definitely has the perfect salsa to delight anyone's taste buds!
