Jeans That Fit Over Cloth Diapers ~ Project Pomona Review & Giveaway

*I received the product below for reviewing purposes. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own. see disclosure.

When researching how to cloth diaper and all the many modern options available, I never even considered that most baby clothing especially jeans are now made to fit over the tiny disposable diapers. Finding jeans for our little guy that fit over his fluffy cloth diapers has been very frustrating to say the least. Clothes we saved back from our older son "just in case" barely fit. Most just look funny with not much room in the bum area, and they have him sporting that plumber look with the diaper poking out of the back even when he isn't bent over because of the elastic top.

Thankfully I have finally came across jeans to fit our son that look adorable, and will grow with him! Project Pomona offers jeans that are made with fluffy cloth diapers in mind. This company was started by a Mom who saw a need for cute stylish jeans for our little ones. They have a variety of jeans, corduroys, and shorts in different styles, prints, and cuff patterns available that will fit over cloth diapers and disposable diapers too.

One of the first things I noticed about the new Eco Fit Stretch Indigo Denim Grow With Me Jeans with Tan Stitching, that I received from Project Pomona, is they have a unique way to be secured. The jeans feature a row of four snaps on both the left and right side flaps in front, and long legs that can be cuffed to fit. You simply snap to fit around your little one's adorable belly, and then cuff to get the perfect length.

Now the Project Pomona jeans do fit up to 3 sizes with one pair, they are not a one size fits all jeans. You choose your size based on their fitting chart. They currently offer the Indigo Jeans in three different sizes. Eco Fit Size 1 fits babies from 3-9 months. ECO FIT Size 2, the size I needed for our little guy, fits from 9-18 months. The largest size for the Indigo Jeans right now is ECO FIT Size 3 for the little movers in sizes 18-2T.  Our little one is on the small side, even though he is 12 months still needs to be snapped up to the smallest setting around his mid section.
Want to make sure I mention a few other notable features of these jeans are that have detailed double stitching and bronze snaps that really give them a stylish edgy look. Also the pockets are sewn closed on the back which keeps them looking fresh and neat even after multiple washes.

The Eco Fit Stretch Indigo Denim Grow With Me Jeans have extra room in the back area that keep our little ones wearing their cloth diapers covered, but they will fit your baby no matter what diaper type you use.  I like that no matter which cloth diaper he is in the Stretch Indigo Denim Jeans will fit every time even with a couple extra inserts for a long car ride. They have become my go to pair of jeans since I know our little guy is much more comfortable now that he has room to move. Also the denim is not scratchy or rough, and the waist line has never left any marks around his belly or back from the elastic either like other jeans have. I feel like after over one month of wear and washing multiple times, that they still look brand new. I can really tell that Project Pomona jeans are made with high quality control standards since there is no sign of any fading, fraying, or problems with the stitching coming loose whatsoever.

{Sorry I just had to share this picture! He looked adorable but this was the best shot since our little guy was not a fan of the sand or ocean on spring break! This was the only time his feet touched the sand the whole week.}
As far as a family budget goes, the Project Pomona Jeans are a great deal! One pair of this stylish jeans cost $29.95, and fit for such a long time. Considering our son is 12 months and still on the smallest setting in the Eco Fit Size 2, these should fit for at least another 9-12 months! Woot woot! I definitely give the Eco Fit Stretch Indigo Denim Grow With Me Jeans from Project Pomona my Mommy seal of approval! In fact I have raved about them so much to my family over the last couple weeks, that my sister told me she going to order my son a pair of Project Pomona jeans for his first birthday gift. Woot Woot!

  32. Oh my goodness, I didn't realize that these jeans fit for so long. That has been the one drawback of cloth diapering my last three children- having a hard time finding pants that fit. Especially with my son. That's when I had mainly large Gerber DSQ prefolds and not so great fitting covers. His bottom was massive.lol.

  33. Their jeans are GORGEOUS quality!! I love that they are SO adjustable!! I swear I cannot ever find ones that fit my son right!! I feel like even if you didn't CD that these would be amazing to own. Its insane the wear and tear kiddos put into their clothes so finding something that lasts in wear and sizing is fabulous! And what a great price!
