How To Keep Baby Warm Without A Blanket ~ Halo SleepSack Review

*I received the product below for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own. see disclosure.

As the weather turns cooler all of us Moms want to make sure our babies are warm and comfortable while they sleep. We know that using a blanket in the bassinet or crib just isn't recommended, and Back Is Best for baby while sleeping. That's why I have been using a Halo SleepSack with our little guy.

Halo SleepSacks are the original wearable blanket for baby and toddlers too. These special blankets are made specifically for your little one to stay warm and safe while sleeping. I received the Microfleece SleepSack in a medium size in order to facilitate this review. The medium fits babies between the weight range of 16-24 lbs, and between the ages of 6-12 months. Our son falls right in the lower range of this category being 7 months, and 17 lbs right now. This Microfleece style is also available in Newborn, Small, Large and X-Large too.

The SleepSack is also sleeveless. According to Halo, this is to reduce the chances of baby becoming overheated. While wearing this SleepSack our son is staying comfortable without getting to hot, and is also staying asleep longer since the blanket doesn't ever come off.

My absolute favorite feature of the Halo SleepSacks is the inverted zipper. To this Mom right here, that is perfection! Being able to change my son's diaper when he is still groggy without him losing that warmth from a blanket. If our little guy catches a chill then it's all over, and he takes forever to get back to sleep.

There is a lot of room in the leg area thanks to the design of the Halo SleepSack too. With the roominess in the legs, our son can move around without being constricted while also staying warm and comfy. He has become quite the little mover in the last couple months, and he is tossing he legs around while sleeping now too. The sleep sack stays on perfectly, but still gives him the freedom to stretch those little legs.

Halo is dedicated to keeping babies safe, and now now offers another wonderful product for baby, the Halo Bassinest Swivel Sleeper. They asked me to share with you the following in their own words.

"HALO Innovations is dedicated to putting the health, safety and well-being of babies first. In fact, over 1,200 hospitals use our HALO® SleepSack® wearable blankets through the HALO Safer Way to Sleep Initiative.  This summer we launched our new bassinet, the HALO™ Bassinest™ Swivel Sleeper, furthering our commitment to helping babies sleep safely."

The Halo SleepSack is our go to wearable blanket, and I can't imagine putting our son down for a nap or at night with one of his on. You can find Halo SleepSacks conveniently available for purchase at Target.

  13. This SAVED us this past winter! My son was about 1 and wouldn't stay under a blanket, but his room for some reason is always even colder than the rest of the house. He was waking up in the night from being cold til we got this... I LOVE it!! Can't praise it enough.
