Goodies That You Can Feel Good About! ~ Newman's Own Organics Review and Giveaway

Newman's Own Organics recently sent me a variety of their treats and snacks to review. As you can imagine, this was one review my family was very happy to participate in, and I was happy for their help. Even though I am expecting, the full blown cravings haven't began yet, and I needed some help trying all the treats and goodies that came in my box.

First of all let me tell you a little about Newman's Own Organics: The Second Generation. This company began when Nell and her business partner Peter Mahaan thought there was a definite need for organic food products, and after collaborating with her father in 1992 began Newman's Own Organics. Their first product was pretzels, followed by their chocolate bars, and it has now expanded to include coffee, tea, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, organic dried fruit, pet food and more. I just love Newman's Own Organics' slogan, “Great tasting products that happen to be organic!” They are great tasting.... actually delicious!

We took a couple weeks to eat our way through the yummy goodness of the Newman's Own Organics treats, and then picked our 4 favorites. I personally, loved their High Protein Pretzels. As an expectant Mom, I am watching what I have been eating, and loved that these organic pretzels had a little extra protein with all the tastiness of pretzels I was anticipating. I was surprised to find yellow pea flour on the list of ingredients, but besides not being able to taste anything out the ordinary, learned that this is how they are able to pack 5 grams of protein into one serving. If you are a pretzel lover, like I am, they have a variety to choose from. Besides the High Protein pretzels, there are Spelt, Salted Sticks, Unsalted Rounds, Rod Thins Sticks, Salted Rounds, Honey Wheat Mini Salted Thins and the Mighty Mini. 

The next goodie that made our top 4 was the Newman's Own Organics Newman-O's. These delicious organic cookies were the perfect afternoon snack for my kids. They both enjoyed dipping them in milk, and I was informed that they were the perfect twist apart cookie! They always separated perfectly without any of the filling sticking to the opposite side. Apparently, that was a deal breaker on whether they were their favorite! I personally judged them be a favorite by the way my kids gobbled down the two cookies I gave them, and then asked for just one more.

The third treat to make our top 4 list was the Fig Newmans. To be honest, I was only able to try one of these tasty treats. My husband tried them, and then quickly claimed them as his own. He said (and I quote), "Wow! These are the best Fig Cookies I have ever had. Try one, but just one... these are mine ok?" After I finished laughing I agreed they were great, and of course, let him stick them back for his snack time.

Our fourth pick was the Newman's Own Organic Premium Organic Chocolate. I had to limit myself or this chocolate lover right here would have eaten an entire bar at one sitting. Each bite of these melt in your mouth chocolates was delicious! Every last one of us enjoyed a taste or two or three, and all of us agreed these had to make the top 4. My personal favorite bar out of the variety we were sent was the Dark Chocolate, I actually would eat a square with a few of the High Protein pretzels. Loved the blend of salty and sweet!

Trying to buy organic when available is something I have been doing for awhile now, and I have to say we are definitely in love with the organic and delicious choices from Newman's Own Organics. If you are looking for some Goodies that you can feel good about, Newman's Own Organics snacks are, in my opinion, the best place to start. Enjoy!
