Kidz BOP Christmas Review and Giveaway
We love the holidays in this house. I dive into the shopping, decorating, baking, crafting and wrapping, but I think most of you Moms and Dads out there will agree that the holidays can be a stressful mess! We all still do the holiday stuff because making memories with your kids, seeing their eyes wide with excitement (sometimes even before the sun is up) on Christmas Day can make all those trips fighting the crowds in stores, standing in a forever long line for that one gift they really want, worth it. Oven Shy Cookies ~ Holiday Recipes
~When I was a teenager, our state had an annual Homeschool Camp. Every year we all came together for a fun week of sports, games, activities, music and fellowship. I have the best memories, and one of those memories includes helping in the kitchen. One year I helped make cookies for the entire camp. This recipe is one of the cookies we prepared for that evening meal's dessert. I loved it so much, the lady working in the cafeteria gave me the recipe for a standard batch instead of the enormous amount we actually made. It must have been at least quadrupled!!! The Oven Shy Cookies recipe is very simple to make, and as the name implies~ does not require any baking!!! Hope you guys enjoy them as much as my family and I still do every Holiday Season.

Monster Jam Is Coming

Cars and Trucks are a way of life for this Mommy and her Son. We build tracks and race them, count them, discuss how each one is special, and make ramps to jump them. He even names them! Recently my son discovered Monster Jam trucks, and oh my goodness is he going to be thrilled when he finds out they are coming to a city near us! This is going to be a new experience for the whole family, and I can't wait to see what both my kiddos think about this event. The life size versions of my son's new favorite 4 wheel obsession will be up close and entertaining us for a fun filled family night in January.

Making Christmas Cards With The Heavy Duty Trimmer ~ Martha Stewart Crafts Review
I received the Heavy Duty Trimmer from Martha Stewart Crafts this year for review. Some of the features of this paper trimmer are an alignment guide, storage on top, a paper stop, and finger guard. One of my favorite features is the safety lock on the side to keep the sharp cutter blade in a locked down position. A necessity, in my opinion, for a house with small children.
We love to make homemade cards, and very simple projects especially around the holidays. My daughter and I decided to use the Heavy Duty Trimmer to help give us a head start on designing our Christmas Cards for this year. When I opened the box, I was very surprised by how light weight this Heavy Duty Trimmer is, but what it lacks in weight, it makes up for in precision cutting. This trimmer packs some major cutting power. It can slice right through 3 sheets of 12 x 12 card stock.

As I am sure you have figured out.... I love the photo books you can make with Blurb. Well, I have found another really cute book that Blurb offers that would make a really great gift this year or anytime really- Blurb's Chicken Soup for the Soul Book!
They have 5 different story themes including Christmas, Love and Romance, Giving Thanks, Positive Thinking, and Sympathy. You are able to personalize these books with the name of who you are gifting it to, by adding their name as part of the title, and adding your name as well as the giver. Goodies That You Can Feel Good About! ~ Newman's Own Organics Review and Giveaway
Newman's Own Organics recently sent me a variety of their treats and snacks to review. As you can imagine, this was one review my family was very happy to participate in, and I was happy for their help. Even though I am expecting, the full blown cravings haven't began yet, and I needed some help trying all the treats and goodies that came in my box.
First of all let me tell you a little about Newman's Own Organics: The Second Generation. This company began when Nell and her business partner Peter Mahaan thought there was a definite need for organic food products, and after collaborating with her father in 1992 began Newman's Own Organics. Their first product was pretzels, followed by their chocolate bars, and it has now expanded to include coffee, tea, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, organic dried fruit, pet food and more. I just love Newman's Own Organics' slogan, “Great tasting products that happen to be organic!” They are great tasting.... actually delicious!
