Oven Shy Cookies
Makes- approximately 36 cookies
Ingredients-
- 12 oz. Butterscotch Bits
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
- 5 cups Corn Flakes
- Pour the Corn Flakes into a large mixing bowl.
- Melt Butterscotch Bits and Peanut Butter together over medium heat in sauce pan; stirring constantly. Watch closely to keep mixture from burning on the bottom.
- Pour melted mixture over Corn Flakes. Stir until all the Corn Flakes are coated. This will take a few minutes.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. You will have to mound them together because they do seem to want to fall. I usually wait a minute or two, and let the mixture rest, before beginning to drop out the cookies. For best results, place the waxed paper on a cookie sheet and then place cookie sheet in freezer to speed up the cooling.
- After cookies have set up, Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.

ReplyDeleteoh these look so good. I will have to add these to my holiday baking list
ReplyDeleteI'm a HUGE fan of no-bake recipes! Your recipe reminds me of a time when my son was younger, about 10 years ago when he was 4. He made a recipe off the side of a cereal box with my younger brother. I was following Weight Watchers at the time, so after he made them (sadly) I told him I couldn't eat them. He said "well, when you're not fat will you try one?". Poor kiddo. I wasn't even "fat" by definition. It's a shame of the importance we place on weight. He's a skinny mini, so I'd hate for him to adapt that kind of vision. Now, I just wish I would have tried it to show my son some love! We made kolaches for the holidays together and I ate them. We all deserve a little sweet treat every now and then!
ReplyDeleteThese look delicious. I am definintely going to have to give this recipe a try.
