Are you looking for a way to cloth diaper on a tight budget, but still want a quality diaper for your little one's bum? Glow Bugs Cloth Diapers might just be what you are looking for!
Our little one sporting his Glow Bug with both Microfiber Inserts Snapped in. |
Currently there are three different packages-Road Trip, Earth Fest, and Picnic Party. Each comes with 12 super cute and trendy prints,18 microfiber inserts, and is in a matching wet bag. You also now have the option to upgrade to Bamboo Inserts in your package.
I received their Stowaway cloth diaper from the Road Trip Package. Must say that this is my favorite package of the three, but it is a tough choice. Right now I am head over heels in love with the anchor trend for babies, so I couldn't be happier with the nautical theme of this print!
The Glow Bug Cloth Diapers are a one size pocket diaper that have a 360 degree inner gusset. This was the first time I had used a pocket diaper with this type of gusset. I have been very impressed with the way it contains our son's icky messes.
Here are a few other notable design features-
- 4 size settings to adjust the rise, diaper will fit babies from 7-35 lbs
- Unique Slim Dry Fabric inner to keep baby's skin dry
- Pocket open in both the front and the back
- Snaps that color coordinate with the print
- Inserts snap together and to the diaper, so they stay in place no matter how much our little guy moves.
We have used this diaper multiple times over the last month, and it has been great at keeping messes where they belong. The Glow Bug cloth diaper also absorbs like a champ. We have been using one insert for daytime wear, and for nighttime both included microfiber inserts. With my medium wetter we haven't had a leak yet, so it definitely does a great job.
If you are looking for a budget friendly option, the Glow Bugs packages are very reasonably priced and include all the diapers you will need, extra inserts, and a wet bag for just $157 for one package, and $277 for 2 packages! To put those prices in perspective, if you are using disposables and spend an average of $15 a week on diapers. You would spend about $157 in just over 10 weeks of diapering, and we all know baby is in diapers way longer than 10 weeks!
Glow Bugs Cloth Diapers are cute, absorbent, and will fit your baby from basically birth to potty training (7lbs- 35lbs) with their adjustable rise and crossover snaps at the waist. Cloth diapering using these packages is extremely budget friendly, and with their 360 degree inner gusset you have wonderful protection from leaks. Personally I have fallen for their very trendy prints, and my favorite feature is the snap in inserts with large pocket openings at both ends. I do not like to stuff and unstuff our pocket diapers very much. The snaps make putting them and keeping them in the perfect spot easy, and the super wide opening make stuffing so simple.

We currently use Charlie Banana diapers, but I love the gusset feature in these!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried a glow bug diaper yet but I like the concept of the 360 degree inner gusset.
ReplyDeleteI learned that cloth diapering using these packages is extremely budget friendly, and with their 360 degree inner gusset you have wonderful protection from leaks.
ReplyDeleteThe 360 degree gussets in something I have not seen before. Granted, I am a newbie, but still a great feature! I also like that they are one size! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThese are so stinkin' cute and sounds like they work really well!
ReplyDeleteThis post came at the perfect time. I'm 8 months pregnant and planning on cloth diapering this time. These seem like a good option. I pinned it so I can find it later!
ReplyDeleteI love the 360 degree gusset!
ReplyDeleteThose gussets seem really cool! I'd love to try them!
ReplyDeleteFront and back pocket opening
ReplyDeletethey have so many cute designs
ReplyDeleteI really love some of their prints and I think the 360 gussets look like they would be great for containing messes! I wish they would allow people to order individual prints or at least packages smaller than 12. The packages are a nice deal for those just starting out, but if you already cloth diaper it would be nice to add a few favorite prints to your stash even if the cost was higher per diaper. Most people that already cloth diaper are not looking to add another dozen diapers to their stash (at least not before trying them out first).
ReplyDeleteI really like the gusset! I have a baby with chunky thighs, so with sizing his diapers gussets work wonders!
ReplyDeletelove the price & all the cute prints.
ReplyDeleteI love that the inserts snap in place and the gussetts are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the gussets. I also like the crossover snaps.
ReplyDeleteI like the 360 degree gusset inside, helps prevent messes outside!
ReplyDeleteI love the crossover snaps. All of my kiddos have needed them and they make the fit so much better
ReplyDeleteI love the cross over snaps and the really cute prints!
ReplyDeleteI like the 360 gusset!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I've seen a 360 degree gusset and I'm curious to how it works! I also love all the extra snaps! :)
ReplyDeleteThat 360 degree inner gusset is amaze-balls! I don't know why all diapers don't have that!
ReplyDeleteI love the 360degree inner gusset feature on this fiaper. I want to win one so I can try it out!
ReplyDeleteThe prints are so cute
ReplyDeleteI love their cute prints too! And I'm really intrigued by the 360 gusset, would like to see how well it would work on an EBF newborn. Being that they start at 7lb I expect I could use this almost right away on my little one due in March which can't be said for many one size diapers!
ReplyDeleteLove your little model! I love that they go from 7-35 lbs! I have one glow bug diaper and I really love it!
ReplyDeleteI like that there's opening at both ends and the 360 gussets The prints are adorable too.
ReplyDeleteI have small babies so I like that they start from 7lbs.
ReplyDeleteI like everything about this diaper but my favorite is the 360 degree gusset inside.
ReplyDeleteThese diapers were my very first cloth diapers. I have to say that I am very happy with them. They have great absorption and they contain the poo messes very well. The Stowaway print featured is one of my favorites as well. Also, their customer service is FABULOUS! Everybody is kind and courteous and goes out of their way to make sure you are pleased and satisfied with the Glow Bug products.
ReplyDeleteI love their prints, but they are so irksome to spray if your baby isn't EBF. The price is nice, though!
ReplyDeleteI have heard great things about Glowbugs, but their downfall for us IS that they only sell in packages, (but the do have a co-op group, which I plan to check up when the new prints start up). We would like our stash to have some variety since this will be our first in cloth and we are not certain what will work best and what we will prefer. I did LOVE their prints last year, (which is another thing I am not fond of, exclusive prints that last for one year only), and some of this year's are pretty cute, too.
