Build-A-Bear Workshop Review and Giveaway

******The Winner is Amanda J.!!! Congratulations..... the email has been sent! Please respond within 48 hours. =)

I was presented with this really cool opportunity- to review Build-A-Bear Workshop!!! Thought what an awesome store to check out and give my opinion on.

When you go in to Build-A-Bear Workshop, it is obvious that they know what kids are looking for. What could be better than making your own new friend- in the form of a bear, cat, dog, bunny, or other furry friends? The fun doesn't stop there, it is just the beginning. Then you are able to actually stuff them and give them a heart. Build-A-Bear Workshop has a whole process that goes with the heart that my daughter loves. Next you "wash" your new friend. They have lil extras that can make your new friend special... such as a heart that beats, or your animal can say a phrase. * A young lady I grew up with was actually proposed to using a Build-A-Bear that spoke....."Will you Marry Me?" Now that was creative on the future groom's part and proves these new friends aren't just for kiddos. ;)

Now it's time for an ensemble! Bear-A-Bear Workshop offers mini furry friends, outfits, accessories, pet beds, collars, leashes, shoes, and roller skates plus more. The roller skates are cool, if you get a leash. Then you can actually take your new friend for a walk.  Picking out the clothes and shoes, I must admit, is our favorite part! They offer so many different choices. You can pick out pajamas, jerseys, costumes, jeans, shirts, skirts and much more!!! They are all reasonably priced... my only issue is when buying the shoes/skates they are only sold in sets of 2 and my daughter always gets a dog..... so we have to buy 2 separate sets of 2 for both the shoes and the skates. Not really too big of a deal but having some sold in sets of 4 for a bit of a discount would be awesome for the parents of a dog lover! =)
Shoes, roller skates, and pet beds are a few of the accessories available.

Now the last part of your shopping experience is super sweet. You receive a Birth Certificate complete with a Birthday so you never forget the day you made your new friend at Build-A-Bear Workshop. My daughter always puts a lot of effort into naming her new friends something special for the certificate.

Here's a little something extra...the bottom of the Birth Certificate has an ID number and key code for Bearville.com to play with your new friend online for FREE. =) Bearville.com , according to their site is, " an extension of our in-store experience enhances the traditional play patterns kids have with their stuffed animals, encouraging imagination, socialization, self-expression, creativity, self esteem and personal development."  You simply enter the codes on the bottom of your receipts which will give your kiddos Bear Bills for every dollar spent. It's a fun virtual world where your child can play with her friend. My daughter loves it and I think it's "Beary" cool too! lol

My Girl, so happy with her new friends, Chocolate and Brownie! =)

I urge you to go check out Build-A-Bear Workshop, if you haven't already, it will be worth the trip. All the smiles that it creates for your kiddos will be priceless!!!! We will definitely be returning! To find a store near you or to simply shop online go to Build-A-Bear's website.

*Disclaimer-I was given a $35 Gift Card and 1,000 Bear Bills to use on Bearville.com for my review ... but as always, the opinions are my own... good or bad. See my Disclosure and Privacy tab. =)

Now for the best part.... Build-A-Bear Workshop graciously offered to sponsor a giveaway for all my followers/ fans! The winner will receive a $10 Gift Card to Build A Bear Workshop!!!!!  You may enter in the rafflecopter below.  Good Luck and Thank You to Build-A-Bear Workshop for your generosity!!!!

  12. My daughter wanted to do Build a Bear Workshop for her last birthday. She knew exactly what she wanted: a My Little Pony and roller skates and a leash so she could pull it around. Her friend had one like that and she had to have one too. Of course the roller skates don't stay on unless you also buy shoes AND both the skates and the shoes are only sold in pairs (for the bears). Since she had her heart set on the pony that meant 2 pairs of shoes and 2 pairs of skates, plus the cost of the pony, plus the cost of the leash! It is so expensive, but luckily she didn't also want clothing for the pony! She was so happy and I was so broke, but it was worth it!
