I grew up eating Salsa & chips as snacks, Mexican inspired dishes, and Grilled foods pretty much year round. These types of meals are some of my very favorites. Well that has carried over, and now my husband jokes with me that if it's not a Mexican dish I won't make it! Well of course that's not true, but I do have it on the menu a couple times every week for sure. That is what has made reviewing Mrs.Renfro's gourmet salsas, so much fun. I was able to eat my favorite meals while trying some tasty new products.

This July I wanted to spotlight a book that I love, and one that I Just Couldn't Put Down!!! The Mommy MD Guide to Your Baby's First Year is that exact book for me right now. As a new Mommy.... again, I am always wondering when should my lil guy be doing this, is he behind on that..... wait he shouldn't be even trying this yet.... right?! Basically I am like any other Mom out there with questions, and just to be reminded of all the milestones baby's go through as they grow this first year. I'm sure all Moms out there know when you have a question about your baby you want an answer... fast, and that is why this book hasn't been put down.
Your Baby's First Year is the 2nd book in a wonderful and informative series from Rallie McAllister, MD, MPH and Jennifer Bright Reich. {If you would like to learn more about the first book The Mommy MD Guide to Pregnancy and Birth visit, check out my review.} They have compiled a ton of useful tips (over 900!!!) in a unique way by asking 70 Doctors who are also Moms for their advice and opinions on a Baby's First Year. They then put together this must have book for new Moms.

Boy's Military Costume Review

Our son LOVES to dress up, and I love that his imagination goes into over drive when "becoming" the hero, villain, or whatever he happens to be pretending that day. We recently were given the opportunity to check out a fun costume, and he has had a blast putting it through the paces at playtime.
When the Commando Child Costume arrived, we instantly opened it up, and I snapped a few pictures. I know my 6 year old son, and so many cool accessories they probably wouldn't stay together for long. One thing that is really neat is that there was a hook and look attachment to the front of the vest. Each of the items are able to attached to the front which really helps to keep them together.... at least for a while.
This fun military costume includes ALL of the items below.

Octonauts: Calling All Sharks! ~ Review and Giveaway

Do you have a kiddo at home who LOVES sharks?! My 6 year old son is really into them right now. When it comes to sea life, dinosaurs, reptiles and the like, he will just obsess about finding out all he can. I love it!
Recently, I was given the opportunity to check out the new release Octonauts: Calling All Sharks!, and my son was thrilled! For those not familiar with Octonauts, it's an animated series based on children's books that has a few lovable characters who embark on adventures to explore, rescue and/or protect animals in their various habitats.

After I found out we were expecting last year, I made the decision to give cloth diapering a try. Began to research online and follow a few different cloth diapering bloggers. What I discovered is that modern cloth diapering IS NOT what I expected. Modern cloth diapering can be diaper pin free, and there are a variety of styles of diapers not to mention colors and patterns that are so adorable. Now I am cloth diapering our son, and we haven't looked back! While doing my research I came across Buttons Cloth Diapers.
Buttons Cloth Diapers are a one size, two in one cloth diapering system using water proof covers and inserts. The covers are made with 2 layers of wipeable PUL, and have a snap closure. No pins, just the snaps and pure cuteness! The simplicity of using the Buttons Cloth Diapers won me over. I was recently sent a Buttons Cloth Diaper Cover {Hero}, one small Daytime Insert, and one small Nighttime Doubler to try out on our new little one.

Blueberry Buckle Recipe
I just LOVE the beginning of June. School is out for the summer, and I am able to just be "Mom" instead of "Teacher" too. (Yes, even homeschooling Moms like a break now and then.) Also one of my family's favorite fruits are back in season.....blueberries!!!! We usually go to a U pick farm and stock up for the year. Then after making jam and freezing some the berries for the rest of the year, we bake Blueberry Buckle!

Staying Cool This Summer With BrylaneHome ~ Review
Summer weather has finally made its appearance in Indiana, and with it we are already looking for ways to stay cool and comfy while enjoying the outdoors. I was sent a few products for reviewing purposes from BrylaneHome that are going to help us do just that.
The Outdoor Furniture Oversized 5pc Set is in my opinion the perfect set up for staying comfy while enjoying all the fun that comes with being outside in the summer. Everything is all wrapped and stored in one convenient bag with wheels for easy mobility. These sturdy oversized chairs can handle up to 300lbs, and are made of poly/canvas. Set up is a breeze, just pull it out, push it into place, slide in the umbrella, and viola you have 2 chairs, an umbrella, a cooler/ table, and handy storage in front. Not to mention the cup holders for both chairs too. We have really enjoyed having a small cooler right within hands reach for our bottled waters and soda.

Set up is a breeze, just pull it out, push it into place, slide in the umbrella, and viola you have 2 chairs, an umbrella, a cooler/ table, and handy storage in front. Toys For Baby ~ Ebeanstalk.com Review

Our new baby is due to arrive any day now! Yes, I have hit the point at 38 weeks and 4 days where I just want to hold and cuddle him already! =) Have been scouring all different places for New Toys for babies, after I realized last week that with all my planning and getting everything ready for our little guy that I didn't have one toy for him! oops... Mommy fail! When given the opportunity to review the Ebeanstalk site, I was thrilled. They really have a ton of newborn toys, not to mention products for my older two kiddos also.
Finding a great toy or book on Ebeanstalk is super easy since they have so many to pick from. I found the site very easy to navigate with tabs for searching by brand, age, milestones or categories. I just picked Toys By Age and clicked on Baby Toys for Newborns. So many adorable items came up that would be perfect for our new little one. Then since I could not help myself I moved through all the other ages and found quite a few great picks in the Top selling toys for 1 year olds section too.
