These books will keep your kids engaged and are great for different learning styles too! My kids have been enjoying these fun products, and the best part... they do not even realize that they are learning. Do you kids love stickers? Mine sure do, and the fun Smithsonian Sticker Creations line (ages 6+) – Dinosaurs and Under the Sea – are absolutely perfect for our 7 year old! He has been in love with all things dinosaur for years, and after our recent beach vacation the Under The Sea Sticker Creation is perfect! He is now talking our legs off about all things ocean related. =) These sticker books use an innovative, hands-on approach to learning. Each of them feature fun facts in a way your kids can understand, and the information is backed up by the experts at the Smithsonian. They each comes with more than 175 reusable stickers plus 5 oversized 3-D stickers, and a pull-out framed play scene. Your kids are able to have fun creating their own prehistoric dinosaur scene or ocean floor adventure.
The Smithsonian Everything You Need to Know Fact Cards series, divided into Grades K-1 and Grades 2-3, is specially tailored for inquisitive minds of different ages. These wonderful resources each contain 275 fact cards with categories that range from space to history to health, that have been chosen to compliment the curricula for each grade level. The facts are paired with beautiful color photographs, illustrations, and diagrams that will capture young imaginations.
We spent a lot of time last school year learning about the states, and the Smithsonian Young Explorers: 50 States (Ages 6+) has been perfect for keeping my kids engaged in all things state related over the summer. This product comes packed in a sturdy travel case and includes an illustrated poster and a giant 130-piece floor puzzle of the United States. The alphabetically arranged fact book details state birds, animals, flowers, famous residents, and other fun trivia. It is going to be a resource I turn to not just during the summer but through out the school year too.
My kids love reading about our amazing planet, and this beautiful book Smithsonian Discover: Earth (ages 8+), is great for young readers to learn about the fascinating animals, vast oceans, and wild weather that make up the planet they call home. The comprehensive guide also comes with 12 fact cards, a large two-sided poster, and a 3D paper globe for children to construct.
