Believe I have found the most comfortable shoes that I have ever been given the opportunity to wear and review.. OOFOS!!!

These shoes are made for comfort, and they look cute too! After receiving our pairs of OOFOS- the OOriginal Thong in Mocha and OOaah Slide in Black- both my husband and I have tested them thoroughly. Have wore them shopping, around the house, to the pool, on walks, in the garden, and even to the softball field for our daughter's ballgames and practices.

Learning by the Lake

This past weekend we were able to take a trip to Missouri for fishing on the family lake. We love going and spending time unplugged from everything. Sometimes it is so nice to just kick back and relax!

Even though we were on a mini vacation, the kiddos still got some great learning time in. Nature makes a wonderful text book, and we saw lots of interesting creatures and plants.

I, of course, Lesson Plan, and have detailed assignments for most days of our school week. Sometimes though I make myself just toss them out. Learning isn't only in the books and worksheets, but also in life. You can learn about fish and reptiles in a book, but it's so much more interesting to examine a fish and take pictures of one in person. You can learn about water snakes and lizards or you could check them out in person. {from a distance on the snake part for me =)}

Hicural Review

We all know how annoying those hiccups can be.... not just to our kiddos either. When I get the hiccups, they really hurt. Now I'm sure you have remedies, or really just things you do to try to get rid of them.

• Taking a drink
• holding your breath
• trying the old time fav.... Having someone scare them away for you.
• or my families trick- a teaspoon of sugar, spin around 3 times (to the right) and bow to the East.

Not really sure why the bow to the east part (or really any of it.. LOL), but that's what my Mom always had us do. My sister and I enjoyed the teaspoon of sugar, so we always complied! =)

 
Let's face it though.... all the tricks and crazy weird rituals, don't always work. That's why when I heard about Hicural, the new shape of hiccup relief, I just had to check it out.       Recently I was given the opportunity to review a product from 2 Stay at Home Moms, who looking to find a less wasteful way to clean, came up with the Skoy Cloth. Now what is a Skoy Cloth you ask? It is a  reusable cloth that can replace your wash cloths, sponges, and most importantly for a budget... paper towels.

The amount of paper towels my household goes through each year is pure craziness, and I was intrigued by the idea behind this product. An earth friendly cloth made from cellulose of wood and natural cotton that is 100% biodegradable, but also sturdy enough to last through multiple uses. Their website claims One Skoy Cloth is = to 15 rolls of paper towels. Since I'm always looking for reusable products that are earth friendly... I just had to put them through my household test!!!
