Oasap Fashion Review

Recently I was accepted to be a Oasap Fashion Hunter!

Can not even begin to tell you how excited I have been to be able to review their clothing and accessories!

Know that I am not "model material".... but the best part about Oasap is anyone can feel like a model in their super cute clothes!

The three items I reviewed were the Vintage Style Rose Pendant Necklace, Retro Plaited Bracelet Pack, and Ethnic Print Sleeveless Bound Waist Long Dress in Blue.  

Since I'm more of a jeans and T-shirt kind of girl, I thought I'd pick a dress to review. Oasap has every style dress you can imagine, and I had a very hard time deciding which to choose. They are all so cute!!! The Ethnic Print dress is very comfortable and well made. It feels extremely soft against your skin. Think it is a great buy at only $28!

The accessories I chose to go along with this dress are surprisingly low cost but very good quality! I love the bracelets... all 3 are intertwined and just slide on...no annoying clasps. Oasap has tons of in style and unique jewelry. There is a piece to fit every style, and their prices start at only $8!!!

My Yummy Pasta and Chicken Recipe

Thought I'd share a recipe my family loves. It's pretty easy and very.... you guessed it.... YUMMY! I made this recipe using Mara's Pasta's Spaghetti, but you could use your pasta of choice. (To read my review of Mara's Pasta go HERE) 

~The best part about this recipe is that it doesn't need a lot of chicken, because of all the veggies and pasta. Enjoy! =)

My Yummy Pasta and Chicken

  A healthy, filling and very yummy chicken dish with veggies, parmesan cheese, and pasta.

 

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: varies
 

Serves-  4 (My family of 4 which includes 2 kids... usually has some leftovers)

Mara's Pasta Review

  We love pasta around my house. In fact, it's usually a part of most dinners! I have been trying to make healthier choices while shopping. Sneaking in better for you alternatives where my kiddos will not notice when I can. I have to sneak them in because if they even get a funny feeling something might be good for you.... they run screaming! {That's not a joke.... I should buy stock in hearing devices for my future! LOL}

While looking for healthier pasta options, I came across Mara's Pasta! This artisan pasta is 100% Whole Wheat, and made with Maragrain. This grain was developed to keep their pasta from being to gummy or the opposite, too gritty in texture. In just one serving you will get over 25% of your daily fiber. It is also an excellent source of protein...8 grams per serving in fettuccine, spaghetti, and penne (these are the pastas I have tried so far).  In a nutshell, they have perfected a pasta that my kids do not run from and I'm happy to serve them!

We have been on a "Let's get healthy" kick at our house for over 1 year now, and I'm always looking for a new recipe or food to try/ buy that is both yummy and good for you. I just found these crunchy cookies that are both healthy and yummy....Almondina- a Delicious Cookie Without The Guilt!!!

Unbelievably Almondina cookies do NOT contain any added fat or cholesterol! They are also kosher and lactose free (which I love because I am lactose intolerant)!!!

I received a sampler pack to try a few of the flavors for this review, and we have had the hardest time choosing which ones were our favorite! They are all so good! See I love crunchy cookies, and each of the flavors have their own unique taste. They all contain plump raisins and of course, Almonds. My husband and I decided our favorites were the Original Almondina, Gingerspice, and Chocolate Cherry, but Choconut, Cinnaroma, and Sesame were delicious too. With over 10 flavors and a few that are even chocolate dipped Almondina is sure to have a cookie that will make your taste buds dance!

BlankZ Review

I was recently given the opportunity to review a new creative and sustainable toy= BlankZ!!! This is a plush animal made with special fabric that comes with 5 BlankZ Markers- red, yellow, blue, green, and black. Your kiddos can color this cute lil stuffed animal over and over.... "How?" you ask. Because these special  BlankZ markers allow you to wash the color off. Then when your BlankZ is completely dry.....color again!!! 

I was sent the No Bully (bull) animal from the blankZ Series 1... the series includes 7 choices all together including Bare (bear), Piggy BlankZ (pig), Ele-Faint (elephant), Blank Bunny (rabbit), Un-Sealed (seal), White Hound (dog), and of course No Bully.

My daughter had the best time designing and bringing out that inner artist while decorating her new friend. The first thing she did was draw on eyes and other facial features. Then she just went to town adding the designs she loves.... like the peace sign. 

My son who does not like to color or draw even came over to check out what all the excitement was about. And surprise.... he asked if when we washed Bully (my daughter's nick name for the plush bull) if he could color on it next!!! This shows even kiddos who do not like to color might be interested in decorating a BlankZ toy!!!

This toy is such a great buy (only $13.99)! So often we have received plush toys from family as presents, and they just take up space on a shelf. The BlankZ plush is so much more than simply a stuffed animal, and I see hours of creativity in our future!

July Conscious Box Review

As I mentioned in the Sneak Peak a few days ago,  I have found a monthly delivery box that contains hand selected products from businesses that have been found to meet the highest standards of sustainability and in ethics! Each box is filled with Eco-Friendly Goodies!!! All products are 100% Vegetarian and they include vegan beauty and a bunch of organic products!!!

As I opened my July Conscious Box, I was greeted with a wonderful aroma! Fit Moms For Life Review

My husband and I both started a "get healthy kick" over a year ago. We have been pretty good about eating better, trying to exercise a couple times a week, and choosing healthier options in our diet. Still after meeting my goal weight, what I weighed at 21 before my kiddos came along, I still do not have the same toned shape from my younger years. My Buy Costumes Review

PB Crave Review

This review had my whole family excited..... we are a major peanut butter family! It is a staple that if we, by some crazy tragedy, are ever out of.... there will be tears! (Not necessarily coming from my kiddos either.) To get my point across, I was surrounded by family members growing up that spread it on crackers and sandwiches, but also put it on their hamburgers and donuts! Help They Are Taking Over

Well, I'm currently in a battle with a bazillion little insects!!! They have taken over my few corn plants!!! The little buggers are ants.... just annoying!!!  If you even walk out to that plot.. there is so many ants that they are crawling up your leg within a few seconds.

 I had read that an organic way to be rid of those six legged pests was to mix Chili powder and water. Then just spread a barrier around your plants. Diligently been spreading the paste around for days, and it works until I water the garden. The ants are not even a bit scared of that stuff after it's water down. 

I'm at a loss, and really would love to save my sweet corn from this plague of ANTS! If anyone has some experience with an Ant problem and knows an organic way to remedy it..... Please Please Please share in a comment!!! 

~On a side note.... they aren't touching my tomatoes!

Bob Books Early Readers Review

I was recently given the opportunity to review the new Bob Books Early Readers from Scholastic, The New Puppy and Cupcake Surprise both written by Lynn Maslen Kertell and illustrated by Sue Hendra. Having used one of the Bob Book Sets with my daughter in Kindergarten, I was very excited to see what the leveled readers would be like.

The Bob Books early readers start at a Level 1 {Grade Level PreK- 1}. Each of these two books have over 150 words and use some Sight Words mixed with words to sound out. They also have flashcards you can cut out of the back. Each has a new word on one side, and the picture with a sentence from the story on the other.

The first book The New Puppy was released in January of 2012, and it includes the same simple illustrations that you have come to recognize and love from the Bob Books Sets.
